Latest Updates from Our Project:

February Update
about 4 years ago – Thu, Feb 06, 2020 at 01:50:28 AM

Hey Everyone,

Well, we were hoping this update could start with us happily exclaiming that the factory sample copy was here… Sadly, however, another wrench (this one called Coronavirus!) has been thrown into the gears. Our representative at LongPack Games just informed us today that their factory will remain closed at least until the end of the week due to this virus… so that's where we are now, which is no further along then we were at our last update, but we wanted to keep you all informed.

Other news…

We will be at an event on February 23rd at Bone Up Brewing Company in Everett, MA hosted by the fine people at Cheer Up Games. It should be a fun time with drinks and games. We will be demoing Valhallamas, so if you are in the area please stop by and play a round with us!

We will keep you posted with any updates we receive from LongPack!

Again, thanks for everything,

Bridget

Update: The January Edition
over 4 years ago – Sat, Jan 11, 2020 at 01:57:36 AM

Hey everyone,

First, we hope you all had a great holiday season and New Years!

And now down to business…

We are behind.

This probably isn't too surprising if you have been reading our updates. But this conclusion was really driven home when the printer we are using, after a sluggish back and forth (on both sides), informed us that we won't even be getting our sample copy until after the Chinese New Year break.

We understand that a lot of Kickstarters get behind, but it still sucks that it's happening to us, and we want to apologize to all of you for not being able to deliver on our original timeline. We didn't anticipate all the delays that have cropped up, and we are so very sorry for that.

The good news is that the art and design for Valhallamas is amazing and we are dying to get our hands on the sample copy so we can give you guys some great photos of the game that you are all waiting for.

We will post a new update once we get news from our printer, but that most likely won't be until the beginning of February.

Again we want you to know how much we appreciate every single one of you. Thank you for your kind words and your ongoing patience. We are wishing on every star we can find that this will be the last of the setbacks.

Many thanks,

Bridget

Update: The December Edition
over 4 years ago – Tue, Dec 10, 2019 at 01:52:07 AM

Hey guys,

We were hoping this monthly update would have more bulk to it, but that might have been wishful thinking on our part.

There has been more back-and-forth with the printers than expected. We would do a review, find a problem, resolve it, repeat. This is a good thing, we want to provide the best product possible, but it does have a way of burning days off the calendar. We have it settled and are waiting on the sample copy for final approval.

In our previous update we discussed challenges that popped up regarding shipping. We believe we have a solution (thanks to the incredible folks in the tabletop community), and we will continue to keep you posted on that front.

So crossing our fingers we can give you some great news (and pictures) soon.

As always thank you so much for your support, words of encouragement and patience! You are the best backers ever!

A Quick Kick...
over 4 years ago – Fri, Nov 01, 2019 at 07:12:15 PM

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to update you guys. Last month seemed to fly by...

We were planning on sending the game to the printers a couple of weeks ago, but during a few events last month we had received some critiques about a few things related to design. One in particular was related to the card below. See if you can see the issue.

Other than those tweaks (which will be finished when the tweak guy gets back from Florida), we have our box design completed and we have an actual barcode along with an agreement with Longpack to print. So barring some unforeseen issues, Longpack should have everything sometime next week.

And now to the next issue... Shipping.

Apparently our shipping company doesn't actually exist anymore. They were sold to another company. We weren't told this until we received an email from them asking us what we wanted to do with our remaining copies of Red Scare Redux. So that puts us in a bind. We have figured that we can ship all domestic orders ourselves, but are scrambling to find an international shipper that's reasonably priced and that won't run into customs issues (let us know if you have any ideas!). We will continue to keep you updated on this.

Which brings us to the last topic... Updates.

In an attempt to balance keeping you guys informed and not overloading you with messages, we plan on giving an update at least once a month. We will update sooner if important things arise.

Thanks so much for your support and patience!

Bridget

Do you see the problem here?

Hey everyone,

Wanted to give a progress update. Manufacturing has been lined up, box art and instructions are nearly complete, and card assets have been assembled. We should have it all off to the printer soon. In the meantime, check out some of the art Danielle did for the back of the cards.
